bulletLLUMC ranks among top hospitals

What hospital would you choose? According to the National Research Corporation (NRC)--a recognized industry leader with nearly two decades of specialization in health-care performance measurement--Loma Linda University Medical Center merited a place among the top 126 hospitals in the nation.

"Consumer choice in health care is among the most important debates playing out in the health-care industry, from physician's offices to the halls of Congress," states Michel Hayes, NRC president and CEO. He explains that by providing this report, NRC hopes to give consumers a gauge when choosing their health care.

Winning criteria for the study included composite scores on multiple quality and image ratings provided by consumers in their annual health-care market guide study. Of the 2,500 hospitals rated by consumers in the study, the winning 126 hospitals ranked highest in their metropolitan statistical areas as defined by the United States Census Bureau.

In addition, NRC also named Loma Linda as one of the top hospitals in the nation for heart care.
