To clarify last issue’s safety tip in the article “Keeping Your Child Safe in the Car”, rear-facing, infant-only car seats are required for babies from birth to age 12 months AND 20 pounds. Additionally, toddlers should be placed in a convertible seat after they reach the maximum height or weight limits of their infant seat but must be at least one year old AND weigh at least 20 pounds.March/April 2006 A Healthy Tomorrow
