Live Well with Cancer
Continuing your regular daily routine in tandem with cancer treatment can be a challenge.
Here are several tips for living well through cancer treatment
- Be familiar with your treatment’s possible side effects and ways to relieve them.
- If fatigue is a problem, get extra rest.
- Look for creative ways to keep up with the activities you enjoy.
- Ask for the kind of support you need from family members, friends, and your community.
- Reward yourself for completing a round of treatment.
National Cancer Survivors Day
June 4 is National Cancer Survivors Day. It is an annual worldwide celebration held in hundreds of communities throughout the United States and other countries. Participants unite in a symbolic event to show the world that life after cancer diagnosis can be a reality.
Celebration of Life
Loma Linda University Cancer Institute and the American Cancer Society invite you to the 15th Annual Celebration of Life for cancer survivors, their families, and friends. Join us for an afternoon filled with inspiration from some of our nation’s unsung heroes.
This year’s speaker is the powerfully inspiring Jackie Pflung—who survived both the perils of an airline highjacking and challenges of cancer.
