Soothing Steps for Dry, Itchy Skin
Our skin gets drier with age because
of decreased sweat gland activity.
This can lead to itchy and flaky
skin. Here痴 how to prevent
and ease this problem:
- Bathe or shower in lukewarm water擁nstead of hot溶o more than once a day for a maximum of 15 minutes.
- Keep the air moist. Use a humidifier.
- Use as little soap as possible, and skip harsh, drying deodorant soaps.
- Trap the moisture. Apply a moisturizer or lotion right after your shower or bath.
- Steer clear of the itchies. Choose mild laundry detergents, and don稚 use fabric softener in the washer or dryer.
