Dr. Rock also serves as chair of the Loma Linda University Board of Trustees and the Loma Linda University Medical Center Board of Trustees. Dr. Behrens also serves as president of Loma Linda University Adventist Health Sciences Center. Dr. Moorhead also serves as executive vice president of Loma Linda University Adventist Health Sciences Center.

One of the truly arresting quotes of early American history is: “You can get run over in the right road if you just sit there.” Guided by the principles of the Word of God and the counsel of our church prophetess, Ellen G. White, Loma Linda is clearly “in the right road.” And, led by our astute presidents, B. Lyn Behrens, MBBS, and J. David Moorhead, MD, Loma Linda University and Loma Linda University Medical Center are certainly not “just sitting there.” These leaders and the presidents of our other core corporations, Brian S. Bull, MD (School of Medicine Clinical Faculty), and H. Roger Hadley, MD (Loma Linda University Health Care), have in the past two years, under God, directed our efficient team of vice presidents, deans, directors, division and department heads, and other faculty and staff to achievements which make obvious the blessings of God.

The report that follows is high testimony to the consequences of divine benediction upon human excellence and dedication. Since it is evident, however, that the road ahead is fraught with increasing difficulty, those of us who support the Loma Linda team through governance seek your earnest prayers as we face and pace the challenging miles ahead.
