Average client visits per day: 6,500 Leisure class attendees: 575 New members as a part of the Seniors Program: 225 1997—98 academic year highlights Campmeeting ’97, sponsored by the Southeastern California Conference of Seventh-day Adventists Department of Black Ministries, met for nine days with 13,000 people in attendance. It was reported in the San Bernardino County Sun that more than $1 million was spent in the Inland Empire as a result of this event. The fitness and wellness office gave 370 full fitness profiles. Kids Care Fair drew more than 4,000 individuals to this annual event on August 24. Approximately 650 volunteers participated, 1,100 children were immunized, and an estimated 1,500 injections were given. The Jerry L. Pettis Memorial Veterans Medical Center utilized Drayson Center for training meetings, for which Drayson Center provided refreshments. Bill’s Place also catered for the crews setting up for the Children’s Hospital Gala and for two American College of Sports Medicine workshops.
