| Board of Trustees Report to the Constituencies
1997
A tatoo-removal program was developed. This joint venture with the California Youth Authority, probation services, and public health emergency medicine physicians assists patients to integrate back into society without the stigma of gang-related tatoos. Urgent Care services expanded coverage between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. Services are rendered to children older than 5 years of age and to adults of all ages. A blood-borne pathogen program has been implemented to provide preventive treatment. First-aid stations, screening booths, and health-care fairs are staffed throughout the year. University
