Opening of the Assistive Technology Assessment Center (ATAC) was celebrated in December with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Participating are (from left) David Dutcher, San Bernardino City School System; Terry McLaughlin, MA, assistant superintendent, student services division, San Bernardino County superintendent of schools office; Jean Maki, PhD, associate professor, speech-language pathology and audiology, School of Allied Health Professions; Liane Hewitt, MPH, director, occupational therapy assistant program, SAHP; and Larry Silcock, OTR, San Bernardino County California Childrenās Services. ATAC is a partnership designed to improve the quality of life for students with low incidence disabilities/special needs through assessment and implementation of assistive technology.
A vaccination brings tears to a young girl at one of the stops of the Homeless Care Faire held at SAC-Norton. A number of homeless families took advantage of the opportunity for their children to receive the recommended vaccinations.
Del E. Webb Memorial Library showcased Webbline on November 12, 1997, in the library lobby. Webbline allows Loma Linda University and Medical Center affiliated users to access electronic databases both locally and remotely. Here, Marilyn Crane, MSLS, catalog librarian, demonstrates the Bioethicsline database. The library web pages are located at <http://www.llu.edu/llu/library/>.
