Board of Trustees Report to the Constituencies 1997 President's update Dr. Stephen and Mrs. Eileen Ashwal present Dr. Behrens with a check initiating a new endowment fund for the School of Medicine department of pediatrics. Dr. Ashwal, professor of pediatric neurology, conceived the idea of a perpetual endowment fund to support academic functions of the department. Through Mr. Wong Kerleeâs generosity, the Conference Center provides a facility in which to host major events and guests from around the world.
