County Medical Society donates nearly $3,000 to School of Medicine

The San Bernardino County Medical Society announced the distribution of $2,983.12 to the School of Medicine on behalf of the American Medical Association (AMA) Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the AMA, in August.

The funds were distributed by Dev A. Gnanadev, MD, San Bernardino County Medical Society president, to Brian S. Bull, MD, dean, School of Medicine, as part of an annual program by the AMA Foundation to raise funds to help offset the high costs of medical education and provide support for medical research.

In accepting the award, Dr. Bull said that the majority of the grant would go toward developing a fund to enable students to attend the School of Medicine's annual student-faculty weekend retreat.
