Dr. Philip M. Gold given William L. Cover, MD, award for outstanding contribution

Professor of medicine Philip M. Gold, MD, a pulmonary disease and internal medicine specialist, was honored by the San Bernardino County Medical Society with the William L. Cover, MD, award for outstanding contribution to medicine. „The outstanding physician award is a significant honor which reflects the respect, recognition, and appreciation of our membership,¾ says Dev A. Gnanadev, MD, president of the San Bernardino County Medical Society. „Recipients are selected from among our outstanding members who have distinguished themselves with extraordinary service to medicine in general, to the local medical society, and to the community.¾ Dr. Gold has been personally responsible for training or recruiting most of the pulmonary physicians in the San Bernardino/Riverside area, and has profoundly improved pulmonary care at many Inland Empire hospitals. Award winners are chosen annually from nominees submitted and voted by local county medical society physicians.
