Farewell reception held for departing LLUMC officer

On July 26, Loma Linda University Medical Center held a farewell reception for Terrence A. Hansen, MPH, executive vice president and chief operating officer at LLUMC for the past five years. Mr. Hansen resigned his position at the end of July in order to pursue other career interests and opportunities.

At the reception, B. Lyn Behrens, MBBS, president and chief executive officer of LLUMC, presented Mr. Hansen with a special plaque commemorating his years of service.

"Mr. Hansen has served this institution effectively and with distinction during a period when this institution faced its most difficult operational challenges since its earliest days," Dr. Behrens said. "Not only has he given us experienced, administrative direction, he has nurtured all of us with his sensitive, compassionate, spiritual approach to problem solving and team building. He will be missed."

I have been richly blessed by the opportunities to serve in this place with you, Mr. Hansen said in a written announcement of his resignation. Working together with the Lord, many good things have been accomplished and I am proud of what you have done. I pray that God will continue to be served in this place.
