Emergency medicine resident receives highest score in the nation on in-service exam Matthew Underwood, MD, a senior resident in emergency medicine at Loma Linda University Medical Center, scored the highest of any resident in the nation on a yearly in-service examination conducted by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Underwood's score of 97 percent correct was the highest of all 3,432 residents who took the exam this year. Dr. Underwood is a graduate of the School of Medicine and recently began full-time emergency practice at Riverside Community Hospital.
