School of Medicine recognizes advisors
The School of Medicine recognized three premedical advisors for their dedication in preparing potential medical students during a luncheon for pre-professional advisors held on Monday, January 22. Don H. Abbey, PhD, professor of biology, Union College, Lincoln, Nebraska; Bill Chobotar, PhD, professor of biology, Andrews University, Berrien Springs, Michigan; and Roy G. Kryger, PhD, professor of chemistry, La Sierra University, Riverside, were each awarded a crystal memento engraved with Loma Linda University School of Medicine and the Good Samaritan image for years of service as premedical advisors.
The awards luncheon was part of a pre-professional advisors workshop that each School took part in from January 19 to 22. Brian S. Bull, MD, vice president for clinical faculty, LLU, and dean, School of Medicine, presented the advisors with the award and expressed his deep appreciation for their long-term commitment to School of Medicine.
