Loma Linda web site receives 5-star rating
The Loma Linda University and Medical Center web site was given a five-star rating by Health A to Z, a search engine for health medicine catalogued by medical professionals who have a strong background in the field.
Ratings were determined using the criteria of content, ease of use, layout, and level of appeal.
Since its inception in December of 1995, the overall number of hits (individual pages accessed) has exceeded 1 million, and usage is steadily increasing. More than 20,000 overall hits per week have been the average.
Users from more than 50 countries have linked to the site, including Bahrain, Chile, Croatia, Hungary, Israel, Latvia, New Zealand, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Singapore, and the United Arab Emirates.
Included in the site's more than 2,300 pages is information about each of the institutions, schools, and programs; school bulletins; recent issues of SCOPE, TODAY, and TRADING POST; upcoming events; personnel and telephone directories; a site search engine; institutional history; current employment opportunities and application forms; and links to other church, education, and professional sites.
