New Children’s Hospital Foundation director named
Patti Cotton Pettis has been named director of the Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital Foundation effective November 12, 2001, according to Zareh Sarrafian, MBA, Loma Linda University senior vice president and administrator, Children’s Hospital. “Ms. Pettis brings to this position a strong background in public relations and diplomacy in the worlds of health care, government, and business,” Mr. Sarrafian says. Ms. Pettis lived in Europe for 10 years and speaks two languages in addition to English. A strong advocate for children, both professionally and personally, Ms. Pettis has actively participated in programs promoting adequate health care for children in California, and literacy-mentoring programs to equip disadvantaged children for success. “It is my privilege to serve as part of the Children’s Hospital leadership team as we strive to foster and further the comfort, healing, and happiness to the many children of the Inland Empire and the world,” Ms. Pettis says. Ms. Pettis holds a bachelor of arts degree in communications from Atlantic Union College, South Lancaster, Massachusetts, and is currently completing her master’s degree at La Sierra University, Riverside.
