Memorial service held for occupational therapy student
Rose Mary Bucher, occupational therapy class of 2001, died August 15, 2001, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in her hometown of Gentry, Arkansas.
Ms. Bucher is remembered for her active participation in sunshine bands at Loma Linda University Medical Center. During her fieldwork experience in Ojai, California, Ms. Bucher made an evident impact on not only the facility she was assigned to, but also the local church, according to her fieldwork supervisor, Susan Leech.
During a memorial service held August 24 in the rose garden behind Nichol Hall, classmates shared thoughts of Ms. Bucher and placed roses in the garden in remembrance of her.
They wish to establish a scholarship in Ms. Bucher’s name.
