Loma Linda University and Medical Center news August 27, 1998 [TODAY, August 27, 1998] 1998 campmeeting sessions An attendance of more than 6,000 people was reached at the 1998 campmeeting sessions held July 24 to August 2. Sponsored by the Black ministries department of the Southeastern California Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, the theme for the two-week session was ÒJubileeÓ--A Call to Celebration, Restoration, and Revival. Attendees focused on the progress of the Church and spiritual revival. More than 300 individuals attended a health fair sponsored by Loma Linda University and Medical Center on Sunday, August 2. A spectrum of displays and booths were staffed by 75 volunteers. Booth stops included sickle cell disease screening, dental screening, Adventist Health Study findings, services provided by LLUMC, and educational opportunities available at LLU.
