School of Public Health professor to present vespers
Come and hear songs of praise " To the One Who Walks with You in Pain", sung by Jeannine Stuart-Mendes, mezzo soprano, accompanied by harp and recording artist, Joan Kristenson. The concert will be held Sabbath, February 14, at 4:00 p.m., at Loma Linda University Church.
The composer of the songs, David Abbey, PhD, professor of biostatistics and epidemiology, School of Public Health will tell his story of dealing with chronic pain for 25 years.
Dr. Abbey will also speak of being touched by an angel and the healing that took place through natural remedies.
Dr. Abbey was diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis, a form of arthritis while still at student at the University of California, Los Angeles. A very a painful flare-up this past spring led to a remarkably healing experience and the composition of these songs. Plan now to attend this special event.
