| Gerald Winslow, PhD, vice president for spiritual life and wholeness, Loma Linda University Adventist Health Sciences Center, shared that "Grace is not only the means of forgiveness—grace is the power of restoration. As human parents rejoice in their children, so does God in us. Because of grace, we may approach God with confidence that He will welcome us home." |

| Kent Hansen, general counsel for LLUAHSC, used a bag full of stones in his devotional, "Confessions of a Rock Thrower." In a powerful moment of silence, Mr. Hansen showed the sound of grace, that of rocks being dropped instead of being thrown. "To believe in Jesus Christ is to believe in change," he said—that we can all change for the better. |
