Amy R. Tuttle, a second year graduate student in the PhD program for marriage and family, coauthored a book titled, Theory-Based Treatment Planning for Marriage and Family Therapists. Ms. Tuttle wrote the book while working on her master’s degree in counseling with an emphasis in marriage and family therapy at California State University (CSU) Fresno. She wrote the book with her former professor, Diane R. Gehart. Students at LLU and CSU Fresno are currently using the book for class. The book provides methods and guidelines to help clinicians integrate theory and practice in their treatment planning. The preface explains the purpose of the book by stating, “Rather than a cookbook approach to treatment planning, this book provides tools to help each clinician develop treatment plans that are consistent with his or her theoretical approach and that are meaningful to the client whose problems they are intended to address.” Theory-Based Treatment Planning for Marriage and Family Therapists can be found at Loma Linda University’s Campus Store or online at Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble.
