LLUBMC fair prepares employees for JCAHO

Faculty and staff of Loma Linda University Behavioral Medicine Center participated May 4, 2004, in an employee fair. With a theme of "May Day, May Day," the event aimed to educate and prepare employees for Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). An airline atmosphere featured gate numbers for the booths and boarding passes which participants entered into the grand prize drawing. More than 200 employees perused booths during the day in the Behavioral Medicine Center gymnasium. Representatives shared information on such topics as human resource management, performance improvement, patient care, medication management, patient rights, infection control, environment of care, compliance, outpatient services, information management, and fire extinguisher training. The grand prize winner, Sharon Winkler, received a portable DVD player. Other prize winners were:
