Editor's note: The following article was written by Mike Campbell, School of Pharmacy, class of 2007.

I, along with 10 of my classmates, went to Sacramento, California, for the second annual leadership conference sponsored by the California Pharmacists Association (CPhA). All six pharmacy schools in California were represented at this meeting. It was held March 5 to 7, 2004. Guest speaker Susan B. Wilson served as a motivational speaker and facilitator. She did an excellent job of teaching and helping us to organize our goals and thoughts. She showed us what team work was all about. LLU School of Pharmacy was assigned a topic which will be presented in our leadership project at CPhA annual meeting in San Diego, 2005. The project topic is "Refuse to dispense due to religion or philosophical belief."

I, personally, enjoyed the conference. I enjoyed working with other colleagues from different schools. It showed me the diversity that occupies our society today. The leadership conference made me realize that for the profession of pharmacy to grow and prosper, team work is the foundation that will lead us, as a profession, to the top. Mel Barron, professor at USC stated it correct, at Loma Linda University Pharmacy Forum recently, "We as students in today's world need to [change the game}." He is correct, for pharmacy profession to be unique, we need to be unique in our ideas to push the profession forward.
