Each person was recognized by Ruthita Fike, MA, CEO, LLUMC, during one of the employee forums held from May 10 to 12. They received a certificate of appreciation and a gift basket for their exemplary role in protecting patient privacy.

The winners, nominated by their co-workers and supervisors, were: Patricia Robertson from the Medical Center; Cynthia Biswas from the East Campus; Cathy Chabolla from the Behavioral Medicine Center; and Jennifer Cruikshank from the Children's Hospital.

Parking changes in effect for LLU Medical Center

Recognized as one of the main issues facing both patients and employees, parking around LLUMC is changing. These new changes took effect May 19 to help reorganize the parking available and increase patient access. The parking in front of Children's Hospital and Medical Center (Lot A & Lot A annex) and the parking lot in front of the FMO (Lot O) have been strictly zoned for patients and visitors only. The parking garage on Campus Street (Lot G) will be available for LLUMC and LLUCH physician and staff parking. The Wong Kerlee parking lot (Lot G East) is exclusively for attending physician parking. The parking lot in front of the Ronald McDonald House (Lot J) will be available for FMO physicians and staff. Contract employees (housekeeping staff) and overflow parking is located in the parking lot near Gentry Gym (Lot X). Two additional shuttle busses have been purchased to provide enhanced service from Lot X during peak periods.

These new procedures are being strictly enforced. Thank you for remembering that we are here for our patients, and we need to provide them with the best access for their care.

See parking rules and map (PDF - 252K).
