Adult Day Services hosts a Mother’s Day tea

Loma Linda University Medical Center Adult Day Services (ADS) hosted a tea for female program participants and caregivers on Friday, May 10, in celebration of women’s month. ADS participant Alice Crawford (right) and her mother, Melba Crawford, stop to pose for a photo before the tea begins.

Caregivers and program participants were entertained at elegantly decorated tables with centerpieces of fresh roses from ADS staff gardens and miniature birdhouses. They enjoyed assorted teas, scones, homemade jellies, cucumber sandwiches, and guests were also given corsages made by Margaret Dzeiman, the wife of one ADS participant.

In celebration of Mother’s Day, Adult Day Services planned several special events which also included a fashion show presented by Diane Ricks who is a wearable arts designer from the School of Fashion at Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga. Recognition was given to the nurses and program assistants for their hard work and continued dedication to the Adult Day Services program.
