SPH professor visits Cuba

Zaida Cordero-MacIntyre PhD, RD, assistant professor, nutrition, SPH,
was invited to speak at the IX Latin American Congress of Parenteral
and Enteral Nutrition that took place in Havana, Cuba, on June 22 to
27. Dr. MacIntyre presented the
topics titled “Care of the Critically Ill Diabetic Patient” and “Drug
and Nutrient Interactions.”
The membership of the Latin American Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition
(FELANPE) is composed of physicians, dietitians, pharmacists, and nurses who
work with critically ill patients. Every two years the society holds a congress
in a different country of Latin America. Speakers from 23 different countries
were invited to this event. These speakers came from 15 Latin American countries,
6 European countries, Canada, and the United States.
