Steve Green to perform in Loma Linda

Steve Green

The sound of gospel music will resound in Loma Linda on Saturday night, November 15, when Steve Green returns for the fourth time to present a concert for the Calimesa Community Concert Series.

Mr. Green, a Christian vocalist from Nashville, Tennessee, heads up a team who will perform at the concert to be presented at the Rock Church and World Outreach Center on South Waterman Street near Redlands Boulevard in Loma Linda.

Tickets for the concert are already on sale, according to Robert Soderblom, MD, director of the Calimesa Community Concert Series. The concert series is one of three co-sponsors, along with University Church of Seventh-day Adventists, Loma Linda, and Christian radio station KSGN–89.7 FM.

The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. “It is expected that all 2,500 seats for the concert will be sold in the near future,” says Dr. Soderblom. “It is a concert the entire family can enjoy.”

In a little more than a decade Steve Green has become one of the most acclaimed Christian vocalists of our time, says Dr. Soderblom.

Since the release of his first solo record in 1984, Mr. Green’s powerful tenor voice has helped define the sound of modern inspirational music, not only in America, but also around the world.

His 16 albums have received numerous accolades, including six Gospel Association Dove Awards and four Grammy nominations, selling more than three million copies in the process.

As a frequent guest in Billy Graham’s national and international crusades, Mr. Green’s voice is recognized by millions of television viewers throughout the world. Today, Mr. Green is considered to be one of the most listened-to contemporary Christian artists in Spanish-speaking countries of the world.

A special seating arrangement is being offered for this concert, reports Dr. Soderblom. A special section will be devoted to the “Founder’s Circle” for persons wishing to support the worldwide international missionary activities of the Steve Green organization. A $100 donation that is 75 percent tax deductible will include a pre-concert reception and buffet with Steve Green, a special gift, and prime up-front center seating in the auditorium.

In addition, ticket donation for reserved front center seating is $15 and $12 for additional front reserved. Reserved seating in the back of the sanctuary and the entire balcony is $12.

Tickets can now be obtained by sending your request and remittance and a stamped, self-addressed envelope to Concert Series, P.O. Box 647, Calimesa, California 92320. Checks should be made out to “Concert Series.” Tickets may also be obtained at Loma Linda and Riverside ABC Christian Book Stores and Colton and Riverside Berean Christian Book Stores. Information can be obtained by calling (909) 795-4960.
