First patient born on Unit 3800
Les Morton (left), director of communication network services for Loma Linda University Health Services, and his wife, Lona, a surgery nurse at LLUMC, welcomed their first child, William Alexander Morton, into their family on August 8. Mrs. Morton and Alexander were transferred on August 9 to Unit 3800, becoming the first patients on the newly opened unit. William Alexander weighed 7 pounds 15 1/2 ounces and measured 19 3/4 inches long.
