The Thanksgiving Tree is posted each November by the department of employee spiritual care & wholeness.
The Thanksgiving Tree is posted each November by the department of employee spiritual care & wholeness.
Sponsored by the department of employee spiritual care & wholeness, a Thanksgiving tree is placed in the lobby each year to celebrate the blessings God has given and to renew hope for the future. Patients and families are invited to share their thanks on notes written out on leaves hung on the tree.

The following were expressions of thanks found on this year’s tree:

“Thank God for the doctors at Loma Linda who saved our son.”

“Our prayers and thanks go out to the family who has provided our Dad with a new heart.”

“Thank you, God, for allowing me to work at Loma Linda. I am truly blessed.”

“I thank God for always giving my parents health and strength to work. And I’m also thankful to be able to volunteer here.”

“I thank God for this wonderful hospital that has saved so many lives and has changed lives.  Thank you Lord, for the good doctors you have put in my way.”

“I thank God that my son will be able to come home soon.”

The following were written by children:

“Thank you for my family, house, friends, and pet. Thank you God for everything.”

“God bless the staff on floor 9.”

“Thank you for doctors who helped my grandpa’s heart get better!”

“I am thankful for my new kidney.”

“I’m thankful for my brother getting better and that my family is happy again.”

“I am thankful I’m no longer having seizures.”

“Andrew likes God.”

“I’m thankful for my new twin sisters, Hannah and Holly.”
