Recording artist Crystal Lewis to perform free concert at University Church

Award-winning contemporary Christian recording artist Crystal Lewis will be presented in a free concert on Friday evening, October 14, at 6:30, in the University Church sanctuary in Loma Linda.

Ms. Lewis first surfaced as a member of the cast of the youth musical Hi-Tops, followed by a stint fronting the gospel band Wild Blue Yonder.

She subsequently mounted a solo career, breaking through with her 1996 Myrrh Records debut, “Beauty for Ashes.”

The album launched three contemporary Christian chart-toppers and turned gold, including an American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP)’s song of the year.

Ms. Lewis’ 2000 release, “Fearless,” was nominated for Best Christian Pop Album of the Year at the 2000 Grammy awards. In 1998 and 1999, she received Dove Awards for the Spanish-language album of the year for “La Belleza de la Cruz” and “Oro.”

Seating at the concert is on a first come, first served basis.
