Development officer joins School of Pharmacy
Jim Pinder, MBA, has joined the LLU School of Pharmacy as its director of development and major gifts.
Joining the Loma Linda University School of Pharmacy as its director of development and major gifts is Jim Pinder, MBA, CFRE.
Mr. Pinder received his bachelor’s degree in mass communication from Walla Walla College, in College Place, Washington, in 1996. In 2001, he completed a graduate certificate in leadership, values, and ethics from La Sierra University, in River-side, California.
In 2004, he graduated with a master’s in business administration from National University, headquartered in San Diego. During the same year, he became a certified fundraising executive (CFRE).
Mr. Pinder’s academic interests include technology planning for educational institutions, law, and computer forensics.
He began his career in fundraising for nonprofit organizations as an intern at Walla Walla College, working in the areas of donor recognition and publications from 1998 to 1999.
In 1999, he was named director of development for Calexico Mission School, in Calexico, California. During that time, he worked closely with Maranatha Volunteers International to rebuild the campus. In 2005, he launched fundraising efforts for Lifestyle Center of America, located near Oklahoma City.
Mr. Pinder is the first development director and major gifts officer for the LLU School of Pharmacy, commencing his duties at the beginning of 2007.
He is active in many organizations including the Rotary Club, Association of Fundraising Professionals, the American Pharmacists Association, and American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy.
He and his wife, Jennifer, have a 17-month-old daughter, Jorja, and live in Colton.
