An assistant professor in the department of cardiopulmonary sciences, Loma Linda University School of Allied Health Professions, recently received word that he had been granted honorary membership in the Lambda Beta Society, national honor society for the profession of respiratory care.

Mr. Spearman was invited to attend Lambda Beta Society’s annual reception, held on December 11, 2006, during the American Association of Respiratory Care’s international respiratory congress, held in Las Vegas, where he was honored.

The letter reads, “Your outstanding contributions to the progress of the art, science, literature, public understanding of respiratory care, and personal attributes qualify you for Lambda Beta’s honorary membership.”

It continues, “We look forward to presenting you this award and personally thanking you for your outstanding contributions and accomplishments within our profession.”
