Pediatric dentistry department volunteers for ‘Give Kids a Smile Day’

Staff and residents from the School of Dentistry pediatric dentistry department volunteered for “Give Kids a Smile Day” at the Social Action Community Health System (SACHS) dental clinic on Friday, February 23. The event, which took place across the nation, was sponsored by the American Dental Association.

Eight pediatric dentistry residents performed a variety of procedures including screenings, fillings, and extractions supervised by Richard Grabowsky, DDS, associate professor of pediatric dentistry.

At SACHS, 55 pediatric patients were seen, and $16,948 in dental care was provided at no cost to the families.
