SIMS plans trip to Nicaragua An ophthalmologist is needed for the June 2007 mission trip to Nicaragua.
Students for International Mission Service (SIMS) will partner with the School of Dentistry and School of Nursing for a June 2007 mission trip to Nicaragua.
According to Martine Polycarpe, MPH, director of SIMS, community leaders in Managua, Nicaragua, requested that Loma Linda University prepare a community health fair—similar to the health fair SIMS held in Batouri, Cameroon, in December 2005.
The Loma Linda University team will be working with the nursing school at Polytechnic University of Nicaragua to provide the health fair in a section of town called Anexo Villa Liberdad in Managua.
