Support columns erected on new facility On February 5, 2007, six tall gravity H-beam support columns along with fourteen H-beam frame support columns were erected on the southern east-west footings at the Centennial Complex site. According to Dan Frembling, general superintendent for the project, the shorter support columns weigh 600 pounds per linear foot. These 20 columns will be the only columns erected until July. In the meantime there will be a lot of digging, welding, and pouring at the site.
