Zambian Gospel Choir will present concert on March 24
The Zambian Gospel Choir will be presented in a benefit concert on Sabbath afternoon, March 24, at 5:00 in the Loma Linda University Church of Seventh-day Adventists.
The gospel choir is made up of African Adventist young people living in Southern California who are on a mission to help raise funds to build a Christian university in Zambia.
Joining the Zambian Gospel Choir will be two other African music ensembles, “Thokoza,” and “Shower Power.” A freewill offering will be taken to help build two lecturers’ homes at Zambia Adventist University in Zambia.
The Zambia Union Conference has 534,000 members and is the fastest growing union in the Southern Africa–Indian Ocean Division. The Zambian Gospel Choir has committed to raise $100,000 for the institution.
Midway through the concert, a short film will be shown telling the story of the founding and building of Zambia Adventist University.
Zambia Adventist University was established four years ago and has a current enrollment of 560.
