School of Nursing sponsors workshop The School of Nursing sponsored a diversity workshop Wednesday, January 24, in the campus chapel. Josepha Campinha-Bacote, PhD, RN, FAAN, president and founder of Transcultural C.A.R.E. Associates, was the featured speaker. Dr. Campinha-Bacote presented “A Culturally Conscious Model of Cultural Competence for the Practice and Discipline of Nursing.” Transcultural C.A.R.E. Associates is a private consultation service that focuses on clinical, administrative, research, and educational issues in transcultural health care and mental health.
