Young adult Sabbath School starts at Azure Hills Church

A young adult Sabbath School called Next ADVENTure is starting up at Azure Hills Seventh-day Adventist Church, Grand Terrace. The Sabbath School, for young professionals in their 20s and 30s, will focus on Bible study and active Christianity for those who want to reach out to people around them.

When Michael Campbell, MA, associate chair for the department of archives and special collections at Del E. Webb Memorial Library, Loma Linda University, and a leader of the new Sabbath School, attended Azure Hills a year and a half ago, he was surprised that there were no options for young adults.

“There is a great need for such a Sabbath School at Azure Hills, especially since it is so close to Loma Linda, where we’ve got quite a few graduate students,” he explains.

In response to this need, this summer Azure Hills Church started the new Sabbath School. The new class meets regularly in the pastor’s study at 10:00 a.m. Those who are new to the Adventist faith and those who are not Adventist, but have an interest in learning more, are welcome to attend.
