When Alisa Wilson, safety and infection control coordinator, School of Dentistry, asked if the School would send a care package to the USS Anzio, the answer was a resounding “yes!”

Alisa’s nephew, QM3 Keith A. Saltsman, has served on the USS Anzio for more than three years. The care packages contained enough toothbrushes and floss for the entire crew.

After receiving the package, William A. Seegars, command master chief, USS Anzio, sent a thank-you letter, saying in part, “your support is appreciated, especially during these challenging months that we are deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Maritime Security Operations off the coast of Somalia. It is reassuring to know that we reside in your thoughts and prayers.”
