Loma Linda University department of archives and special collections collaborated with the Society of American Archivists to present a workshop titled “The Art of Processing Manuscript Collections” on the Loma Linda campus, according to Michael Campbell, MA, interim chair of LLU archives and special collections, and associate director of the Ellen G. White Estate Branch Office.

Attending the workshop, held July 23 and 24 primarily in the Heritage Room, were 20 archivists representing the southwestern United States (from Texas to Central California).

The workshop was taught by Pam Hackbart-Dean, MA, director of the Special Collections Research Center at Southern Illinois University, with two campuses in Carbondale and Edwardsville; and Susan Potts-McDonald, MA, head of technical services at Emory University, in Atlanta, Georgia.
