One lucky person in Loma Linda got a free iPhone from the Campus Store. On August 28, several staff from the store walked to the market with balloons and, of course, the $500 phone to surprise the winner. Dianne Lohff, clerk/ packer at the Loma Linda Market, stood shocked as the group revealed her win.

“I’m overwhelmed and surprised,” says Ms. Lohff. “That’s all I can say.”

Phil Carlisle, general manager of the Loma Linda Market, planned a “meeting” with

Ms. Lohff. Little did she know that it was to tell her about her win. According to Ms. Lohff, she almost threw out the raffle ticket. After all, she had never won anything before.

“But I thought, I might as well turn it in,” says Ms. Lohff, who has worked at the market for 19 years.

About 700 employees entered the contest from the All Star Appreciation Day.

“We’re trying to bring awareness that the Campus Store sells Apple products now,” says Ron Siagian, director of retail and services. “Employees also get educational discounts, saving hundreds of dollars. It’s just one of the benefits for working at LLUAHSC.”

Employees may also finance their new Apple computer through the La Loma Federal Credit Union.

Individuals are welcome to demo the Apple computers at the Campus Store. During the upcoming Employee Benefits Fair, the Campus Store will show how Apple goes beyond computers to entertainment.

For those who want to win an iPhone, they have one more chance. The Campus Store is holding another contest during their Open House on October 1. Entry forms will be available at the store on September 25. For more information about the contest and Apple products, call the Campus Store at (909) 558-4567, or extension 44567, or see at 11161 Anderson Street.
