Professor recognized by Embassy of Bahrain The Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain has recognized Zaida Cordero-MacIntyre, PhD, assistant professor of nutrition in the School of Public Health, with a certificate of appreciation for her work mentoring Bahrainian student Dina Fakhrawi, PhD. Dr. Fakhrawi earned a master’s degree from the LLU School of Public Health and then studied for a doctorate in nutrition from the University of Connecticut. She chose to do her doctoral research with Dr. Cordero-MacIntyre, focusing on the effects of dairy calcium in postmenopausal, overweight women on total and regional body composition, hormones, and lipid profiles.
