Spiritual care is subject of LLUAHSC conference
Loma Linda University Adventist Health Sciences Center is offering a conference that will teach students and practitioners of the healing professions to offer spiritual care to their patients and clients.
The conference, called “Ministry of Healing: From Desire to Competence,” will take place November 9 and 10 in the campus cafeteria. It is a free event geared toward students and faculty from each of LLU’s schools.
The conference will teach the concepts of spiritual care and give attendees a chance to practice their new skills with experienced tutors.
The conference begins at 6:00 p.m. Friday, November 9, and continues through Saturday, November 10. For those who pre-register by November 2, food will be provided at Friday supper, Sabbath lunch, and Saturday night dinner.
During the Sabbath afternoon program, professional attire and identification badges will be required.
