The volunteer services department of Loma Linda University Medical Center recently celebrated 50 years of service to the people of the Inland Empire with a photo-opportunity-turned-party on the patio between the Medical Center and LLU Children’s Hospital. Frances Brown (left) and June Joseph contend that volunteering isn’t only for the young, it’s also for the young-at-heart. The ladies have been volunteering since 1984 and 1999 respectively. Not all volunteers are human. McCloud, the therapy dog, greets everyone with a warm smile. A volunteer since 2006, he cheers things up at LLUMC East Campus.
