Dentistry to host investment fair

On Sunday, January 22, the School of Dentistry will host an all-day investment fair for health care students, staff, faculty, and private practitioners. The event will take place in Prince Hall, with registration at 9:30 a.m.

Presenters will include a certified financial planner, an attorney, a certified public accountant, and an insurance agent.

Topics to be presented include managing debt reduction, personal/professional investing, wills and living trusts, and recommendations for entering into contractual agreements.

Health care practitioners and their staff will learn more about managing the financial health within a practice, professional liability issues, life insurance, and workers’ compensation.

Exhibitors have been invited and will be available during the entire day.

The program has been designed to include ample time for networking with the speakers and exhibitors so attendees can ask questions and learn how to obtain further financial advice. The investment fair will conclude at 5:00 p.m.

Cost for Loma Linda University is students, $20; faculty and staff, $25; others, $35.

Registered fair attendees can also obtain a copy of a new book (with CD-ROM), Personal Finance for Healthcare Professionals, by W. Patrick Naylor (Loma Linda University Press, 2005), at a special discounted rate for this day only ($20 for Loma Linda University faculty, staff, and students, and $30 for non-LLU individuals).
