The Masters of Harmony international barbershop champions will appear in concert in Calimesa on Saturday night, February 4, at 7:30. The 130-voice group last appeared at the Calimesa Concert Series in 2003.
The male choral group has recently won their sixth first-place award in the international barbershop championships held in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Masters of Harmony has presented concerts in the Ramona Bowl, Crystal Cathedral, Pasadena Civic Auditorium, Long Beach Terrace Theater, and for the Loma Linda University School of Medicine alumni association.
Founded in 1985, the Masters of Harmony has risen quickly to the upper echelons of a cappella choral music.
Based in Santa Fe Springs, the chorus draws men from throughout Southern California. They come from as far north as Santa Barbara and as far south as San Diego. Members include business executives, dentists, engineers, lawyers, physicians, students, and teachers.
Their repertoire takes audiences on a musical journey throughout some of America’s most memorable songs. The program ranges from Broadway show tunes to popular classics, religious, and patriotic songs.
The concert will be held in the McAnally Auditorium at Mesa Grande Academy in Calimesa. Tickets are $15 for the front reserved section, and $10 for the rear reserved section.
Tickets are available at the local Adventist Book Center, Colton Berean Book Store, and at the LLU student affairs office.
