Memorial services held for former Medical Center records director Longtime director of Loma Linda University Medical Center’s medical record department (now health information systems) Faye Brown passed away January 1, 2006, after a long illness.
Ms. Brown was the author of Faye Brown’s ICD9 Coding Handbook that continues to serve as the “bible” for coders here at Loma Linda University Medical Center.
Ms. Brown was nationally known within the medical records and coding fields. She also founded the coding program in the School of Allied Health Professions.
Memorial services were held on Saturday, January 7, in Loma Linda.
