LLUMC physician to tell of service in the Middle East
Michael H. Walter, MD, associate professor of medicine, will tell about his experiences as the 3rd Army Surgeon in southwest Asia during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
Loma Linda University Medical Center gastroenterologist Michael H. Walter, MD, associate professor of internal medicine, will present the vespers program in the Loma Linda University Church of Seventh-day Adventists on Saturday afternoon, February 18, at 4:00.
Dr. Walter, who served in the military as the 3rd Army Surgeon in southwest Asia during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom in 2004, will present an illustrated talk about his time in the Middle East.
In his capacity as a brigadier general, Dr. Walter traveled extensively in Iraq, Kuwait, Afghanistan, Qatar, Bahrain, Germany, as well as throughout the horn of Africa.
In his presentation, Dr. Walter will tell about the sophisticated medical care provided to the United States armed forces as well as show pictures of the archaeological sites of Ur and Babylon.
All interested individuals are invited to the vespers program.
