Respiratory therapist wins hand slogan

Respiratory therapist Elyse Ratnour, RT (right), is the winner of the Loma Linda University Medical Center hand hygiene slogan contest. Presenting Ms. Ratnour with a $100 gift certificate to Victoria Gardens shopping center is Olga E. Guzman, RN, hospital epidemiologist. Ms. Ratnour won the contest with her slogan, “Keep It Clean With Proper Hand Hygiene.” “Hand hygiene is a simple step toward the prevention and spreading of disease and infection,” says Ms. Guzman. “Our primary goal is to improve hand hygiene compliance by 90 percent or better.”
