Ruthita Fike, CEO of Loma Linda University Medical Center, takes a moment after the farewell ceremony to share her appreciation for Sheila Henriques’ contribution to the information services department.
Staff members from both the information systems department and clinical areas of the Medical Center came to wish Sheila Henriques a fond farewell the afternoon of June 20. Ms. Henriques, executive director of application and development services and acting CIO during the interim of Robert Blades’ retirement and Richard Hergert’s hiring, took a new position with Adventist Health Systems in Roseville, California.

Ms. Henriques spent 24 years with Loma Linda University Medical Center—16 in nursing and eight years with information systems. Several coworkers from past and present shared their thoughts on her career, all praising her for her professionalism and problem-solving abilities.

Ruthita J. Fike, CEO of Loma Linda University Medical Center, presented Ms. Henriques with a plaque commemorating her years of service at the Medical Center. In a letter to Ms. Henriques, Ms. Fike wrote a glowing thank you.

“At the last Medical Center operations committee, the group asked that commendation for your work be recorded in the minutes. Additionally, the senior executives asked that I share their appreciation for your leadership and accomplishments. I certainly enjoyed the opportunity of working with you. You are a talented executive and I have no doubt you will positively influence every organization you support.”
